About the event
RMC CONFERENCE ATTENDEES ONLY
Kelli Zakharoff is an Australian endorsed midwife, author, and speaker with more than two decades of experience in both hospital and homebirth settings.
After witnessing — and experiencing — the fractures within the maternity system, she began writing about the realities that often remain hidden: the culture of coercion, burnout, silence, and the cost to both women and clinicians.
Her book Midwife Crisis: From Trust to Trauma and podcast of the same name have become platforms for open conversations about birth trauma, professional harm, and the urgent need for systemic reform.
Kelli now works independently, supporting midwives while advocating for maternity care that centres safety, respect, and relational continuity.
